I have recently updated the design to accommodate the new Fender Elite Series. "Neck Heel Truss Rod Adjustment" access has been added.
When I started selling Strat and Tele pickguard shields I had no idea how popular they would become. I knew that shielding worked and that by offering them at an affordable price others would be willing to give them a try. What I didn't expect were the numerous e-mails I received claiming that the pickguard shields were having a positive effect on their tone. This puzzled me because copper is non-ferrous (not magnetic) and shouldn't have an effect on the pickups. But, here's a thought, brass is made up of copper and tin and we all know one of the tonal benefits of brass is sustain. So, lining the pickguard with copper is having a very positive effect on the guitars sustain. Anyway, just having a quieter guitar is reason enough alone for me. Any extra benefits are just icing on the cake.
These Copper Shields are designed to fit both Fender 8-hole Vintage and 11-hole Modern Pickguards perfectly. But I have taken and tweaked the design so it will also fit, without adjustment, 95% of the third party Pickguards in the market. No wiring necessary, just attach and start enjoying the noise-canceling benefits of a fully shielded Pickguard. Also, eliminates the static buildup some pickguards exhibit.
