    This listing is for a Victorian pitcher or claret which was manufactured by Martin, Hall Silver Company, Sheffield, England. The company manufactured silver plate hollow ware between 1820 - 1936. The mark shown on the base of the decanter was only used between 1854 to 1866 when the company became an Ltd. and the change would have been included in the makers marks. The pitcher features saw tooth beaded trim around the finial and rim. The pitcher is in good condition with no monograms or dents and the silver plate is shiny and bright. The hinge is sturdy as is the handle and finial. It stands about 8.25 inches tall and measures 5 3/8 inches wide from the handle to the spout.
