Tarnish I just couldn't remove
The shinier area I realize is the true silverplate color, and the slightly darker areas is where the dirt and tarnish was heavier. Really not that bad in person.

Art Deco in style, and most ikely period. They are quite heavy, weighing 2lbs 13oz. and 2 lbs. 15oz.
While viewing head on, the top urns appear to lean inwards or outwards a little depending on how you situate them. I think this is the way they were made.
Condition report:
Overall very nice condition. Signs of age, wear and use. I have pointed out imperfections in the photos.
I gave them a good clean and polish, however some traces of tarnish remain. On one base where the dirt and tarnish was heavier than on the other candlestick, after polishing, there are areas where the silver is slightly darker or different in tone. This is more apparent on close viewing.
There are scattered surface scratches consistent with age and use. The tops have what appears to be bubbling of the plating. And one has a dent on the side edge and the plating has slightly separated and there is also a small loss of plating. See all 16 photos. Ask questions.
