Pitcher and Coffee or Tea Pot
from Edwardian Times
They are original pieces by Barbour Silver Company. Quadruple Plate * Rochester New York
(identified by engraving at bottom of the pitcher)
. They’ve been in my family all my life and decades before - sometime between the late 1890s and the early 1920s.
The ‘B’ initialized on the bottom front of the pitcher is for my family name (on my mother’s side): Bohanon, who settled in St. Mary’s county, Maryland, from Scotland.
While I remember them when they were like new, free of any form of damage, they endured damage via transporting them from place to place. Consequently, they need restoring. The pitcher remains in fairly good shape; the coffee or tea pot is dented in places - particularly on the bottom (see images of bottom diameter of tea pot).
For the record: The numerals 493 is stamped at the bottom of the coffee pot; and 97 at the bottom of the pitcher. Thanks for asking.
Restoration is very possible as is re-silver-plating.
Enquiries welcome. Just ask.
SOLD ‘as is’. Pictures by me.
