Description
Fabulous Stimpson "1854" silver plate 'tipping pitcher', for ice water or? In the stand, it measures about 19-1/2" tall. It has some dents in it, most of them on one side. The silver finish is bright and very good, not scratched up. The top rim of the pitcher is bent slightly also, it could likely be straightened without anyone being able to tell (and it's not super noticeable now). The lid fits well and the hinge works fine. The tipping base is in good condition, but is not marked. The two silver plate goblets don't appear to match the set, they are marked "Simpson, Hall & Miller Co., treble plate". The goblets are about 5" tall. This is an imposing, Victorian-era display piece. It will be carefully packed and you will receive it as shown here.
