ANTIQUE SCOOP TOOL
Gorgeous large antique solid copper grain, coffee, or similar general store scoop measuring 12-1/2" long and about 5-1/4" wide. Featuring a beautifully rolled scoop with sturdy bracket wrapped in brass with copper studs, handle and scoop end are wood, scoop end is pierced for hanging, and there is a small bracket on back for the same purpose. Dating 1920s-1930s, it is unmarked by was probably made in England.
Condition is very nice with minor usage wear, including light scratching to the scoop - a hint of irregularity to the scoop end, and a bit of play in the handle - it is tightly nailed into the thick wood end, but I can move it a bit - it will absolutely not budge as I tried to pull it out. Just a striking scoop - the copper finish is shiny and the brass combination really makes it stand out - bears the original warm patina - a nice thick roll to the metal. Wonderful addition to any kitchen display!
