This Hartford Sterling Silver Company water pitcher is just beautiful. It is marked Quadruple silver plated . There is a nickel sized shallow ding on the one side. It displays beautifully. The spout may be slightly bent but pours beautifully. All in all, this piece looks amazing for its age!! It measures 7 inches tall, at lowest area. 7 3/4 inches at spout. The top opening is 5 1/2" on spout side. 4 inches across reg. opening.The base footing measures 3 3/4 inches across. The handle is very ornate and rococco and measures 6 inches long. The lines are beautiful and rich with beading around the bottom edge and around the top opening and spout. This pitcher would look lovely with flowers as a centerpiece on a table. The silver plating is looking good all over this piece.
The bottom mark reads, Hartford Sterling Co. Quadruple Plated. and the number 5058. It also has 3 tiny initials that are ERS. I use the proceeds from my shop to help feed and care for a large colony of feral cats on our land. Thank-you and happy shopping. I also sell art.
