Oneida Vintage Silver Plate Footed Water Pitcher with Ice Catcher is distinctive, with a flower design atop the handle and on each of four feet. From an estate inventory, an Oneida circa 1940 silver plate 8 1/4” high, 8” wide water pitcher with ice catcher is in very impressive vintage condition, with no dents. Light scratches are present, as expected in a piece of this age. A light scratch is present under the outside lip and on its front side, if one is pouring right-handed. Silver plate is bright and shiny, with no erosion. There is some spotting of the silver plate on close inspection. The water pitcher is a heavier lift at 2 pounds, 2 ounces, compared to contemporary branded silver plate pitchers.
