    Description

Here is a my Rosewood (East Indian Rosewood, Dalbergia latifolia), custom made thumb rest for bass guitars.
It's the "mini-mini". 5/16 inch tall and just over 1 1/2 inches long. Single screw mounting. (No drilling...phew!)
I include double sided tape tabs with single screw mount rests, just in case one is concerned about  potential rotation. (haven't received any complaints).
Suitable for any other axe with pick guard screws where you'd like your thumb to perch.
As long as the top edge of the pick guard is reasonably parallel to the strings it should be good.
Handcrafted with pride in the U.S.A. Cut, shaped, sanded, buffed and burnished by yours truly.
    .
This wood is beautiful, with a wonderful feel. After final sanding, to the buffing wheel...I am privileged to see the wood come alive, smooth and sleek.
I can hear "....Shining just like gold."
    Howlin' Wolf-
    Smokestack Lightning
    .
Includes Stainless steel, oval head, Phillips mounting screw. It
    will never rust.
The screws come from the manufacturer with a
    decent,
slightly matte, surface finish, . I desire to provide more than the ordinary.
I sand, polish and buff the heads to a gleaming shine.
Double sided tape tabs are included with this rest which may be used for enhanced security against rotation.
Also, it is proper technique, when starting any of these self-tapping style screws in an already threaded hole:
Place the screw tip in the pilot hole, With very light touch, turn the screw CCW (loosen) and feel for a slight click or dropping, once per rotation.
This is when the screw's thread falls into the original helix cut in the wood.
Then begin turning CW to start tightening in the already existing thread, to avoid cutting an extra path, thus weakening the wood.
I reach to make the highest quality product possible.
Have almost three decades experience repairing musical instruments and precision crafting of wood, plastic and metal.
I am searching always in craft, even in the simplest object,  for a shape, a proportion, and detail. For the line that sweetly flows. Toward perfection of design and creation.
One of my guiding principles for the work I do has been the aesthetic of the Shaker craftsmen,
their strength of design and the quality of workmanship. (And women, too! Social equality,
    in the 1780s!)
Quoting-"We want a good plain substantial article, yea, one that bears credit to our profession and tells who and what we are,
true and honest before all the world, without hypocrisy or any faults covering.
The world at large can scarcely keep pace with itself in it's styles and fashions which last out a short time,
when something still more worthless or absurd takes it's place, let good enough alone."
If you're not completely satisfied with my product's quality, I'll replace/ refund. No ifs, no buts, no nonsense!
