these screws are ideal for stripped mounting holes or new guitars. if you are looking for a chrome screw or a screw that will never rust on you these are it. these are 18-8 stainless steel screws and with a diameter of 0.1120" they are slightly bigger then the standard 0.086" screw that normally goes into humbucker rings which is only a difference of 1/4 of a millimeter. this slight difference allows for a bit more thread, this insures almost zero chance of it stripping out of the mounting hole under normal use.
Note: these may be slightly long for some guitars on the neck pickup,such as some les pauls and SGs. However they will still work if you are willing to do a little drilling to deepen the hole slightly. Most guitars there is no need for any work, simply screw them in.
