    Description

    **Welcome To Tone Man Guitar**
Tone Man Guitar prebuilt 50's wiring kits will improve your guitars overall tone.  Your sound will be stronger, tighter and improved clarity.  Notes will open up.  Elimination of some treble loss when you roll the volume down.  Tone and volume controls are very responsive to each other and smoother.  By rolling back your volume some you can clean up an over driven amp.  You will not find a better product or selection.   I recommend 50's wiring for the best over tone performance.
Our 59 Kit uses Paper In Oil K40Y vintage tone caps for improved overall performance.  Excellent clarity, aged vintage warm and woody tones with improved sustainability.  These caps are equal to or better than Bumble Bee or Vitamin Q's.  We have found no better tone cap.    You will hear and feel the difference.
    This kit is for
    :
Gibson or Epiphone DOT ES335 style. Plus ES330, ES345,Casino, ES339.
Be sure and check component distance measurements, f hole size below and compare to your guitar.  If you have a similar guitar that has the output jack located on the bottom of the guitar please add a note with the measurement from the switch to the edge of the guitar at jack location.  I will need to extend the output jack wire length.
Sheraton models: These models have a smaller f hole opening and will not allow a full size pot to feed thru. Suggest measuring the widest opening of the f hole before ordering for a Sheraton. Questions please feel free to email me.

Every kit goes thru our Performance & Accuracy Testing procedure before being shipped out.  Our kits work
Wiring harness is feed thru the f holes and requires opening in the widest part of the f hole no less than 1-1/8 to 1-3/16 inch min to be able to feed the harness into the hollow body easily.
Template component measurements center to center:
Volume to Volume 2.5"     Switch to Neck Volume 2"
Tone to Tone 2.5"              Switch to Jack 6.5"
    Volume to Tone 2.5"
We add an additional 1/2 to 1 inch extra wire run between components for installation flexibility.
I personally prefer Bourns potentiometers over all other brands including CTS.  I have found them to be smoother, responsive and longer lasting.  The very best taper available.  These pots are 18 spline shaft so USA type knobs will not fit without first pinching the top of the split shaft together a little and slowly push the knob on.  Epiphone and off shore type will fit fine.  We do offer a line of knobs that fit.

Need knobs?  Go to our eBay store. Select category knobs on left side.
**If you are not sure whether your guitar uses short (3/8") or long (3/4") shaft pots please check before ordering.  Normally Pre-1977 Gibson Les Paul's, Epiphone's, SG's, ES Series use short shafts. All Gibson Les Paul's manufactured after 1976 use Long Shaft pots. This kit comes with Short Shaft. Visit our other store products to see our Long Shaft Pot harness's.  If you have questions feel free to email me.
Note: If you have an imported guitar (e.g. Japan, China, etc.)  you may need to modify the potentiometer holes to 3/8 inch to accommodate the Bourns bushings.  Email me with questions.

Although these harnesses are pre-assembled and tested they do require some soldering to connect the pickups and the output jack.  A 25 – 30 watt soldering iron is recommended.  Make sure you are comfortable with making these connections or we suggest you take this to a qualified guitar tech to complete the installation.  I can not be responsible if you damage a unit.
Each harness is custom built after purchase so
my lead time to build your harness before shipping is 5 to 10 business days
    .
In stock means I have the parts to build.  You will receive a notice with USPS tracking number once shipped.
