    Description

    These two large ( 8 1/4” x 3 1/2”) soup/ serving bowls are delicately hand painted on each side with two traditionally dressed personages ( four persons total) and emblazoned with four Chinese characters each.
    I see no chips, cracks or crazing on either piece. Both show utensil wear when closely examined in bright light ( as do most vintage pieces). One has three tiny dark spots at the bottom of the bowl, which I’m assuming are production marks. They are shown in the pictures and reflected in the price.
    The pattern is clear and bright and the porcelain surprisingly sturdy. Gold trim lines encircle the tops and bottoms of each piece. One piece exhibits some gold paint loss on the top trim line.
