HANDY HOST ITEM ---   Superb Gorham Silver Party Service Item -- SAUCE / GRAVY BOAT with attached underplate. This measures about 6" long by 3" tall. It is marked on the bottom - although a little hard to read - and it has Gorham hallmarks. It is in ready to use condition with some fine surface scratching consistent with age.  GORHAM CHANTILLY PATTERN - Older High Quality Gorham Silverplate.
THIS BOAT HAS A PRETTY VICTORIAN AGE SCRIPT 3 LETTER MONOGRAM ON ONE SIDE --- JMH or FMH
Our family used this boat on holiday tables and often for whipped cream for dessert dishes on the sideboard buffet.  CIRCA 1900's

Vintage heirloom quality, these were used for 30+ years for entertaining, as the items were acquired post World War II.
This is an outstanding, truly versatile, group/set of good weight/heft, elegant pattern.  Bid based on info above, but know these were from a very good collection of very fine household goods that were well taken care of.
Expect general marks, spots, scratches, wear and patina commensurate with age and use of treasured serverware/flatware used for special meals/holidays.
