This wonderful Victorian Silverplate Syrup Pitcher by Rogers Smith & Co. has been in our collection for a number of years and it is in very good antique condition. While retaining most of the original silverplate, there is some wear and chipping that is consistent with age but there are no breaks or dents.
There are beautiful figural medallions with etched and insized decoration on each side of the pitcher. The finial is topped with grape and leaf decorations and there is beading around the edge of the top rim and along the bottom.
This Syrup Pitcher stands 7" high to the top of the finial and the foot is 4" in diameter. It is signed on the bottom of the Pitcher: Rogers Smith & Co., with #15 below the name. It dates from the mid to late 1800's.
