    Description

VICTORIAN QUADRUPLE SILVER PLATE WATER PITCHER ENGRAVING IS A MASTER PIECE WITH AMAZING HAWAIIAN HISTORY = MASTER PIECE!
We are pleased to offer a museum quality master piece Victorian Pitcher from our 40 year collection.  This is an elaborately designed Victorian Quadruple Silver Plate (Silverplate) Water Pitcher recording a piece of Hawaiian history.  The Pitcher was manufactured
    by t
    he Premier M
eriden Britannia Company which began operation in 1867.
The Pitcher is hallmarked with Quadruple Plate Pattern #200, and PT'D 1868.
    This beautiful
Victorian Pitcher is TRUELY A MASTER PIECE with amazing engraving and a record of Hawaiian history that should be cherished and preserved for many years!  The Pitcher is adorned with beautiful relief on the two bands. The design is as good as it gets.  The design engraved on the body is truly spectacular.  The Pitcher's Body is covered with hundreds of square dice patterns, and one side has a rectangular engraving of a Hawaiian scenery image.  The front is engraved with "Presented to Robert Grieve by employees of the Hawaiian Gazette Publishing Co., Honolulu, August 28th, 1886".  Of Course the Hawaiian Gazett is a well recognized publishing company, and Grieve was a well known printer and engraver in Victorian Hawaii.  Truly a beautiful piece of Hawaiian History, and A WORK OF ART.
The Pitcher estimated measurements are 11" Tall and 11" Wide from spout to Handle.
It is very large and heavy.
please note we a matching bride basked that can be found in another listing.
The Pitcher comes with a pristine porcelain liner which makes it useable today.  The original owner could have possibly used it for display.  We have proudly displayed it as a centerpiece in our Victorian Parlor with a matching bride's basket
    for years.
Beside the normal conditions associated with age, the pre-owned Pitcher is in a very good maintained condition.  The Pitcher is very clean with minor surface marks and scratches which are not noticeable, but we always include this info. since it is a 150 years old.  The interior of the Pitcher is pristine.  As we inspect the Pitcher closely, we just noted some minor roughness on the handle which could have occurred during the silver plating process, one shallow dent to the back side which was just noted, and plate loss to the base/bottom of the Pitcher which is never noted while the Pitcher is displayed. Otherwise, the silver plate coverage is very shiny and complete. All of these conditions are not visible while the Pitcher is displayed, and they don't detract from its beauty and documented Hawaiian History.
We could describe the condition to be very good to excellent Antique condition.  We have proudly displayed it in our home and received many compliments.
Don't miss this opportunity to own this beautiful Pitcher.  Great additional to any Victorian collection.
We do our best to describe the item's condition and provide visual photos.  We also offer a very conservative description of the condition to make sure we don't overlook any minor condition to ensure  you are pleasantly surprised/impressed to see the item in person, but please remember these items are 100 years old or older antiques.  So don't expect the item to be in perfect condition, unless the listing states that.
If you have any questions or need additional photos or information, please ask prior to bidding/buying.
PLEASE NOTE WE DON"T SEND OFFERS PER EBAY RECOMMENDATION.  IF AN ITEM DOESN"T SELL WITHIN A REASONABLE PERIOD OF TIME, WE WILL JUST REMOVE IT.  WE, ALSO, HAVE THESE ITEMS ON OTHER SITES.  SO PLEASE IF YOU LIKE AN ITEM & YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE AN OFFER, PLEASE DO SO.  THANK YOU.

If you prefer other shipping options/carriers, please advise prior to payment.  We are very flexible.  We may need to substitute UPS/FedEx Ground for USPS Parcel Ground at the time of shipment, because it may be a faster delivery or other reasons.  Sometimes when possible, we will substitute USPS Priority to assure prompt arrival.  Please let us know, if you have an issue with the UPS/FedEx Ground substitution.   Thank you.
