Vintage Signed Adele Simpson Sachet Brooch 8 Pt. Golden Star Book Piece

Vintage Adele Simpson Sachet Brooch Golden Star Book Piece.    It’s Lovely!!     It measures approximately 3 1/2 inches across.  It is a 8 point golden star and it has the hinge on the front for you to place a sachet or perfumed cotton ball.   The mounded portion of the brooch has pierced areas that will allow the fragrance to escape ever so slightly.
It can be worn as a pin or brooch OR since it has a hook on the back, it can be worn as a pendant on a nice chain.   It is a substantial piece and I think it may have been made to honor those of Mid Eastern influence.. or at least that is what comes to mind.
You can tell that it has been previously loved and adored from the former owners.  It has a couple of tiny indentations on the back side where a chain probably wore against the back of the pin.   I point out all the minuses as well as the pretty pluses..
