    Description

    Fabulous antique Palazzo pants or "Beach Pajamas"
    They are silky satin and they feel so 1920s Hollywood.
    They are super wide and flowy. Ivory color with red piping at hem. The antique waist fastens on two sides with buttons and hook and eye. There are no zippers - sides are open near the waist.
    The sewing seems a combination of hand stitching and machine - see last two photos. Very beautifully made - a very fancy Boudoir item made for a wealthy gal back then.
    Tag says "Captivante Handmade" and size 34 -
    seems to be a Small because waist is only 12” .
    The rise is a 17 inch rise very high waist - common in for 1920s."Beach Pajamas"
    The inseam is 28"
    The outside seam is approx 38"
    The very wide leg opening is 32" total
    Hips up to 36"
    Though they do not appear overly worn, examining close up - the gal who wore them back then had stained the crotch area and tried to wash it. You can still see faint traces and a small hole from too vigorous scrubbing. Seems like they were put away after the issue and never worn since then. You cannot see the issue as the pants are so flowy and I did not even try to wash this valuable antique 100 year old pair of silk pants.
    A real antique treasure and I am glad to pass it on
